Housekeeping Supervisor

The Housekeeping Supervisor supports the department by ensuring cleanliness of the property in accordance with the Gasparilla Inn & Club standards. This position is considered a non-management position and functions as a room supervisor inspector and will supervise housekeeping laundry employees. Coordinates room readiness with front office and maintenance departments for guest arrivals and service requests. Conducts property, out of service, VIP and cleaned rooms to ensure quality standards are achieved. Inspects Public Areas of the property by golf cart, and inspects and supervises the turndown housekeeping shift and employees. Will contribute knowledge and information to the employee performance evaluations. Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, and ensuring proper labelling of hazardous supplies in accordance with the Inn’s hazard communication program. Reports any issues such as furniture, fixtures, decor needs, etc. when there may be a need for replacement on rehabbing to Housekeeping Manager and Director to foster open communications. Answers the Maintenance phone as necessary. Might need to clean, wash or dust occasionally.

The petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least one (1) year of Housekeeping Supervisor experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club. Individuals who did not work for the company within the last 90 days before their new start date must complete pre-employment background check and drug screening. Housekeeping Supervisors must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must have or be able to attain driver license to drive golf carts. Must have or be able to get ServSafe Certification. Must complete Human Trafficking Training and Blood Borne Pathogens Training upon Hire. Must have or be able to get CPR/First Aid Certification. On-the-Job Training provided. Will Train. Days and Shifts: Following Shifts available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Work hours from: 7:00am-3:30pm / 8:00am-4:30pm / 3:00pm-11:00pm, shift hours may vary based on the time of the season, daylight, and need. Hourly Wage: $23.78 to $26.00 per hour (based on merit and past experience with our company) Overtime Possible: Overtime may be available at $35.67 to $39.00 per hour. Employees may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of a discretionary season-end bonus, as well as service charges.
