Agricultural Equipment Operator

The employer has a seasonal need for labor during the row crop production season, including corn and soybean farming, when field preparation, planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities must be performed within a limited timeframe and cannot be completed by the employer’s permanent workforce. Seasonal agricultural workers are needed to assist with general crop farming operations, including preparing fields for planting; attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, and harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; and operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other agricultural machinery. Workers will engage in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting corn and soybeans, as well as loading and unloading crops or materials manually or with the use of conveyors, forklifts, transfer augers, or hand tools. Duties also include loading hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines; manipulating controls to set, activate, and adjust equipment; and observing machinery during operation to detect malfunctions. Workers may drive farm semi-trucks to transport crops, supplies, and tools. Additional responsibilities include recording agricultural data as required and performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment. Workers will perform general farm duties as assigned in support of seasonal crop production. Additional job duties will be to operate power washing machine, safely clean farm equipment, and operate snow removal equipment. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion, Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
