Maintenance Laborer

Workers will perform commercial and residential maintenance including fall/winter storm and trash cleanup, shovel, throw, plow snow and dormant tree/shrub winter pruning. Chip ice, spread salt, apply salt treatments to pavement and walks. Snow/ice equipment maintenance. Workers will also apply lawn winterizer as part of winterization process. Use hand tools and equipment such as snow shovel, rake, plow, snow thrower, salt spreader, and ice chippers.

Requires three months of previous maintenance experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. May be asked to drive company vehicles if worker has valid driver's license (driving is not a requirement of all workers in this position). Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
