Duties
Under the supervision of the parents, the Nanny will perform childcare duties for one 2-year-old child, with additional responsibility for a 3-month-old infant. The Nanny will change diapers and maintain proper hygiene routines, such as diaper changes every 2–3 hours for the infant, wiping and bathing both children, and ensuring clean clothing and safe sanitation practices. The Nanny will prepare, oversee, and serve nutritionally balanced meals and snacks for the children, such as pureed or soft foods and bottle feedings for the infant, and age-appropriate meals and finger foods for the toddler. The Nanny will plan and engage in daily developmental and recreational activities to support cognitive, emotional, and physical development, such as reading storybooks, practicing basic words and sounds, and supervising structured indoor and outdoor play. The Nanny will model appropriate social behaviors and encourage concern for others to help cultivate the children's interpersonal relationships and communication skills. The Nanny will follow and maintain each child's established daily schedule, including feeding, nap, and rest periods, such as morning wake-up, scheduled meals, afternoon naps, and bedtime routines. The Nanny will always monitor the children’s safety and well-being and provide attentive supervision in the home environment, including constant supervision during playtime and ensuring a safe living space free of hazards. The Nanny will assist with transportation of the older child to and from preschool, including securing the child in an appropriate car seat and ensuring safe travel conditions. The Nanny will maintain the children's living spaces, such as cleaning bedrooms, sanitizing toys, doing the children's laundry, and managing household supplies related to childcare (e.g., diapers, formula, wipes). The Nanny will meet regularly with the parents to discuss the children's activities, milestones, and developmental progress. Nanny will assist with shopping for groceries, clothing, and other items needed for the children's care.
Requirements
Must have valid CPR and First Aid Certification. Must be able to lift 30 lbs, stand for long periods holding baby, and be able to get down on the floor with kids, also picking up off the floor, must know how to perform CPR and first aid. Work will be performed from Monday to Friday and occasional Saturdays, from 9:00 a.m. or 5:00 with an hour break around 12:30-1:30pm daily. Occasionally, the worker will assist for another two additional hours on Tuesdays evenings depending on household needs. The worker will have two or one and a half days off per week, depending on the household schedule, consisting of Saturday and Sunday or half Saturday and Sunday when working occasionally on Saturdays.
