Snow Removal Laborer

Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas using hand tools and power equipment such as ice picks, shovels, blowers. Apply salt, sand, deicer as needed to maintain safe walking and driving surfaces. Perform commercial and residential snow and ice removal services, including winter storm cleanup, snow hauling when necessary, and removal of snow and ice accumulations. Clean and perform routine maintenance and/or minor repairs on equipment and tools when not in use. Prepare equipment, materials, and supplies before and after winter storms to ensure operational readiness. Clean up and prepare properties after snowstorms. Potential property clean-ups; such as clean up, removal of leaves, branches and debris, trim back perennials to prepare for upcoming snowstorms.

Must be at least 18 years of age due to the operation of equipment. Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free work environment. Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling, positioning, moving, pushing, pulling, and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds (team lifting may be required for heavier items). Applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform all duties described and must be available for the entire period of employment. Work will be performed throughout all areas of intended employment. Work is performed outdoors and requires exposure to cold, snow, ice, wind, and other adverse weather conditions. Employees must be capable of performing physically strenuous labor for extended periods in extreme cold and inclement weather. Work schedules may vary depending on weather conditions and operational needs. Hours may fluctuate due to weather conditions. Employees must follow all safety policies and procedures, operate equipment safely, follow supervisor instructions, and work effectively as part of a team.
